Being surrounded by no less than 6 national parks, the Lazy Elk is ideally located for a visit any time of year. In the beautiful summer there’s hiking, cycling, epic mountain-biking, white-water rafting, climbing, fishing, hunting sailing – you name it. Or you can just relax and take in the views at the Lodge. In the winter you can add skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, sledding, ice-climbing and plenty more to the list. In the spring and autumn, the pace is a little slower but there’s plenty to go and do / see; including famous hikes with views of the golden larches in the fall.
Whatever time of year you come, you’ll have the comfort of a large, cosy log-home waiting for you.

We get very busy - especially in the peak seasons, so be sure to book your trip of a lifetime as early as possible. Our calendar on this site is open up to 12 months in advance.

“Charlie and Andy were very communicative and on top of all our needs! Upon entry to the home, we were greeted with a thoughtful welcome gift with local delicacies. The sourdough loaf was amazing we ended up getting more for chili we had one night. The hot tub was perfect with incredible views. The beds were insanely comfortable. Perfect location, not too far from town and not too far from kicking horse ski resort as well as other ski resorts and towns like Banff and lake Louise. “My husband and 3 of his friends came for a Sledding trip in the mountains. They said that the house was absolutely incredible! The hosts were amazing, they even had a welcome basket upon arrival. “Charlotte and Andrew’s beautiful mountain cabin is quite the retreat! From the moment we stepped onto the property, the weight of the world was lifted in this peaceful environment! We found the lovely home in pristine condition! Charlie and Andy graciously provided delicious and refreshing treats and spirits from Golden”s, local bakery and brewery! The property was well equipped with both indoor and outdoor entertainment. We especially enjoyed our evenings outside on the deck grilling and enjoying family dinners as we took in the breathtaking views of the mountains. What a treat to soak our legs in the nicest and cleanest hot tub we have ever seen after our strenuous and stunning hikes in the surrounding areas.
